New Tars

In preparation for the upcoming winter driving season I sprung for a new set of Tars for the Power Wagon. I really wanted to get a small lift and go to 37" tires. The problem is that I also really want to park in the covered garage at the Denver Airport which only has 8' of clearance.


Instead, in a concession to practicality, I went with 315/70-17s which are about 35 inches tall. They are a little larger than the original size, but not enough to require a lift.

Three days later we got 4" of snow. Man do new Tars work well in the snow.

Ferrari win Driver's and Constructor's Championship

It looks like Raikonen has won -- pending the Mclaren appeal of Williams and BMW fuel. I admit I was really hoping Hamilton could win the Drivers Championship as a rookie -- a feat that seemed impossible prior to his arrival.

The question now is where will Alonso drive next year. No F'ing way he returns to Mclaren after the Stepney gate scandal. My guess is back to Renault.

It should be a interesting off-season.

Wanted -- Scanner frequencys for USGP

I'm seeking the scanner frequencies for Track Operations, Timing & Scoring, and anything else at the USGP next month.

Another new season

It looks like Raikonen is out to prove that he is indeed the fastest driver -- now we will see if his string of DNF was team or driver caused. Hamilton looks like a real gem. Fourth on the grid in his first F1 Quali session. Well done.
